Harry J. Curry, Jr. – Senior Pastor
As Pastor, Harry is responsible for preaching the Word, prayer, casting a vision for our ministry and ministering to people.
Harry grew up in Richmond, KY. He earned a BA from Trevecca Nazarene University and an Masters of Divinity from the Nazarene Theological Seminary. Harry, and his wife Anita were called to pastor here in Louisville in January 1988. After pastoring Trinity Church of the Nazarene, the two churches were joined and he became the pastor of Louisville First in January 1994. Harry and Anita have three children: James, Jeanie and Nathan. In his free time, Harry enjoys reading, fishing, and spending time with his grandson!
Pastor Curry loves the scripture and is committed to “saturation” in the text as a lifestyle.
Sherri Wade – Children’s Pastor
She is married to Jim, and they have two daughters, Megan and Kaitlyn and two grandsons, Ethan and Eli. “Thankfully the Lord sent me Jim, he’s my go-to-guy and right arm, His love, support and willingness to indulge my “great ideas” helps keep me and Children’s Ministry on track.”
Sherri believes God has given her a heart for Children and their families. Her approach to Children’s Ministry is to share the Gospel in a creative, challenging, stimulating and vital way that will create a hunger in Children to seek and know God. Ultimately, it is her heart’s desire for all Children to know Christ as their personal Savior and to live a life truly pleasing to Him.
Trevor Ford – Associate Pastor
Trevor began serving as the College Pastor in Nov. 2012. He graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2010 with a Bachelors of Religion.
“After a year, the Lord opened up a door at Louisville First, the church where Jesus put a call on my life to enter into ministry. “ He also helps with the sports ministry at Louisville First.
Trevor will admit that his biggest help in ministry has been his wife Jeanie. They both love working with college age students and are blessed to be at Louisville First.
